Digital transformation
Do more with the team you already have
You do not have a customer problem, or a willingness problem. You have ways of working that eat time every day, and working later does not fix that.
About 30 minutes, free of charge, no commitment.
The situation
What you are living through, most businesses are living through
You cannot find qualified people
Months to fill the posting, months to train, and no guarantee they stay. Meanwhile the work piles onto the people already there.
You are turning down work
Demand is no longer what limits your growth, the hours available in your team are. Every contract you decline is a customer who goes elsewhere, and stays there.
Your best people are doing paperwork
Re-entering the same data in three systems, chasing by email, rebuilding the same report every Monday. Work that has to happen, but that does not call for their expertise.
Everyone is waiting for things to settle
When the horizon is unclear, investments get postponed. That is prudent. Except that the competitors who started are pulling ahead every month, and that kind of lead is not caught up by writing a cheque.
What it adds up to
What two hours a week are worth
Two hours lost every week, by five people, over forty weeks: four hundred hours a year. Ten weeks of work you pay for that produce nothing.
- Every hour reclaimed from paperwork goes back to production, sales or customer service.
- When the way of doing things lives in the system rather than in one person's head, a departure no longer costs you six months.
- Knowing on Thursday what sold on Wednesday, instead of finding out at the next financial statements.
- An order entered once, not three times. Transcription errors disappear along with the transcriptions.
Artificial intelligence
Everyone talks about it, few know where to start
You have been told AI will change everything. You have rarely been told where to begin, or what it will not do. Here is the version without the noise.
What it does well, today
- Reading and sorting what comes in: emails, purchase orders, invoices, requests for quotation.
- Producing a first draft of a quote, a standard reply or a product description, that a person corrects in two minutes rather than twenty.
- Finding information inside your own documents, without knowing where it was filed.
- Answering your customers' routine questions and passing the rest to a person.
What it will not do
- It does not replace your judgement about your own trade.
- It does not repair a broken process: it speeds it up, flaws included.
- It is worth nothing without clean, reachable data.
A good first AI project is small, measurable, and chosen by looking at your actual tasks rather than at a demonstration.
How we work
The first result in six weeks, not in two years
No grand overhaul. Every step delivers something usable and is judged on a result, not on a percentage of completion.
-
We look at where the time goes
A few days with your teams to spot what repeats, what gets re-entered, what blocks.
1 to 2 weeks
-
We deliver a first improvement
The piece with the best effort-to-benefit ratio, put into service and actually used.
4 to 8 weeks
-
We measure, then we continue
We compare against the starting point, adjust, and choose the next piece together.
Ongoing
Who you will be working with
A company from here that understands what businesses here are up against
Kernos designs web and mobile applications from Shawinigan, with close to 30 years of combined experience. Our clients are smaller businesses in the Mauricie region, in Trois-Rivières and elsewhere in Quebec, companies like yours: the same trouble hiring, the same budgets to defend, the same customers they cannot afford to disappoint. We build what we recommend, we fit it to the systems you already run, and we stay after delivery.
- Custom development, with no licence to rent indefinitely.
- Integration with what you already use: accounting, CRM, telephony.
- WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility applied to our own products.
Common questions
What people ask before we start
-
With whatever is costing you the most right now. We look at one or two ways of working that eat time every week, establish what they actually cost you, and fix the one that pays for itself fastest. That conversation asks no technical knowledge of you.
-
It depends on what we fix, and it is quoted before the work starts, not after. The goal is for the time you get back to pay for the project within the first year. If we cannot show that on paper beforehand, we say so instead of starting the mandate.
-
Almost never. Your accounting, your CRM and your telephony usually do their own job well. What costs you money is the manual re-entry between them. We connect what you already have before proposing to replace anything.
-
It handles work that is repetitive and written: sorting incoming requests, pulling information out of a purchase order, drafting a reply that a person approves before it goes out. It does not decide for you and it does not replace your judgement on a file. A smaller business gets value from it by aiming at one specific task, not by buying a tool and then looking for a use for it.
-
The work is split so that you have something usable before you have spent everything. If the first delivery does not do what was promised, we correct it or we stop, and what was delivered stays yours. Nothing depends on a licence you would have to keep renting for it to keep working.
The meeting
Audrey Pellerin
Business development
Talk it over with Audrey
Audrey Pellerin works with business owners on their digital thinking. You describe your situation, she tells you plainly whether Kernos can help, or not.
What the meeting is not
- It is not a product demonstration.
- You will have nothing to sign at the end.
- If your need is outside what we do, we will say so.
About 30 minutes, free of charge, no commitment.
